New hours…new items at Michael Taylor At Home!

This week kicks off our NEW spring schedule at Michael Taylor At Home. We’re now open every Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-5pm…extended hours to give our fabulous customers more flexibility when you shop! With 9,000 sq ft of combined gallery and warehouse space, we have so many treasures in store that it’s hard to pick just a few to feature on this blog, but we wanted to highlight several new things we’ve got in store right now.

We just received a large assortment of these charming framed mottos from the 1930s-40’s.  These are just a few examples…they have sweet graphics and quotes about friendship, family or relationships, and look wonderful hung as a group. Very collectible, and would be a great gift item for a vintage-loving friend.

These photos just don’t do the lush colors of these hand-painted china pieces justice. They are SO beautiful! Ranging in price from $115 for the serving plate to $125 for the sugar and creamer set. The pastel colors are just the perfect thing for an Easter table.

We have beautiful chinoiserie pieces in store–Michael has a special fondness for it, and is a collector himself. The large vase with plums on the handles is $800, but the covered dish is $72, and sweet figurines are in the $25 range. Something for everyone!IMG_6043

This spectacular inlaid chinoiserie low table with 6 matching stools is a true one-of-kind piece…we get the most unique things in our gallery, don’t we? Really special and unusual!


Crystal, florals, fine furniture and fabulous artwork…you really have to see for yourself! Our inventory changes each week…and we get new inventory in all the time, so if it’s been awhile since you’ve shopped with us, we promise that it’s not the same old/same old.

And, we are still looking to expand our estate sale team. We’re hiring salespeople, sale setters and cashiers–$11/hr start, must be available 3 days/week, must lift 25lbs, pass background check. What’s New at the Michael Taylor Company?

springupdateSpring has definitely sprung, and we have so much news that we thought we’d devote a whole blog post to sharing what we’ve got in the works with our favorite customers (that’s you!). First off, it’s almost time for our Easter Bonnet Contest! I think this is our fourth year of this annual event, and each year our customers outdo themselves with the creative and fun Easter hats that they wear to our sales and our gallery. Date is TBD, but now’s the time to be getting that awesome Easter hat ready to go! We will have fabulous prizes for the lucky winners, and you know we always make it worth your while so get busy putting together those fancy bonnets, y’all! It will be here before you know it.

It’s also our spring hiring season. Do you, or do you know anyone who is looking to join our fabulous estate and moving sale team? We’re offering competitive wages (starting at $11/hr!) to experienced cashiers, salespeople and sale setters. Well, what part?? This cute pillow is for sale in our Gallery, but it’s also a CLUE about an awesome new project that Michael Taylor has had in the works for awhile. We’ll be launching a NEW store-within-a-store featuring fabulous gift items at Michael Taylor At Home.  We’re always working on finding items that our customers simply can’t find at other stores, and we’re excited to open this special new mini-store inside Michael Taylor At Home…it’s still a work-in-progress for now, but it’s definitely happening this spring and we know you’re going to love it. We’re also extending our business hours for the season…we’re now open starting Tues. March 14 from Tuesday thru Saturday each week, from 10am-5pm.  Watch our Facebook pages for the latest news and you won’t miss a thing!

Spring also means that estate sale season will be ramping up, so get ready for even more fabulous sales conducted by our company each week. We strive to offer you the best services, pricing and customer service in the industry. We know you have a choice when it comes to estate sale shopping and we endeavor to treat our customers better than any other company in Nashville. Remember, our Frequent Shopping Club is free to join. Just spend $100 at one time at any one of our sales and you’ll be given a card. Every time you attend a sale and make a purchase, your card will be punched (1 punch/week). Turn your completed card in for $25 credit towards a purchase…what could be easier?
