Spring is too much fun, and we love everything the season brings–Easter, weddings, graduations, fun family gatherings and unforgettable outdoor events.  With so many events coming up, we know our shoppers are in the market for unique and fun vintage accessories and wearables…and manager Jerry has been busy all week pulling out new-to-us spring stock!

Would you believe that we have wedding dresses in stock? While we aren’t a traditional bridal boutique, we have some show-stopping gowns at fabulous prices in a variety of sizes, both vintage and more contemporary. If you’re planning a wedding on a budget, give us a look!

We love mid-century modern!

IMG_6343We’re sure that y’all have noticed the fairly recent trend in retail stores toward the clean lines and modern design that was popularized in mid-century America. Mid-century modern items are enjoying new popularity, especially with our millennial-aged customers and we are delighted to include these in the mix at Michael Taylor At Home.  While you can easily find reproductions of 1950’s-60’s items in popular big box retail stores, there’s nothing like the real deal!

This brass and wood atomic starburst clock is new-to-us ($125) and is a fabulous wall accent for mid-century fans.

We have several GREAT examples of mid-century lighting throughout the store…this three-light brass pole lamp is a favorite of ours. Check out the vintage ashtray on a brass stand…and the swanky 007 poster!

Note the signature mid-century hairpin-style legs on this open buffet cabinet…a red tag deal for $300! We’ve also got great decorative accent pieces like vintage barware, and drinking glass sets.

This vintage hanging pendant light has a harlequin design that was a popular mid-century decorating motif…this unique and colorful fixture that would suit a dining room or entryway.

Here we’ve paired a 1950’s footstool with hairpin legs with a 1960’s pedestal armchair…eclectic and fun!

Come see us this week for deals on everything in our 9,000 sq ft warehouse…we’ve got something for everyone, from fine art to cookbooks, all at the best prices in town!

My best,

Michael Taylor & Company
